Rosie Roche

Rosie was, is, and always will be our daughter. Pippa and I could not

have wished for a better one, nor Archie and Agatha for a kinder or more

caring older sister. She was fun, funny, smart, extraordinarily talented with

words and images, a delightful and happy young woman who lived vividly

in the world.

In July we will be completing Race to the Stones. Our involvement was

inspired by three friends, who said that they wanted to do something in

honour of Rosie. They decided to take part in this two-day 100km walk

that follows The Ridgeway, at 3,000 years Britain’s oldest path, through

ancient landscapes to finish at the standing stones in Avebury. Humbled

by their compassion and generosity of spirit, we will be joining them.

This walk is about supporting causes that connect us to her. Suicide and

Co offers invaluable support and guidance to those left bereft by the self-

inflicted death of a loved one. The Whitley Fund for Nature is dedicated

to preserving and protecting the natural world – the plants, birds, animals,

and landscapes – she loved so well.

I would love others to join me in this venture. Either by donation, or by

joining Team Rosie as we walk this ancestral track to help raise money for

these causes.

If you choose to walk with us, donate, or simply hold Rosie in your

thoughts, thank you. That kindness matters more than we can say.

Race To The Stones

11th-12th July 2026

In Rosie’s memory, Hugh, Pip, their family and friends are taking on a two-

day 100-kilometre trek along England’s ancient Ridgeway path, finishing

beneath the standing stones of Avebury.

For those who can’t do the 100km weekend event, there are also

fundraisers taking on their own challenge of walking/running 100km.
